On the 14th, Superintendent Jeong visited Deokseong Girls' Middle and High Schools near the Constitutional Court with the Jungbu Education Support Office to inspect the commuting routes. In January, he also checked safety threats at Gyodong Elementary, Jaedong Elementary, and Unhyeon Elementary Schools near the Constitutional Court.

With numerous crowds gathering around the Constitutional Court, including near the presidential residence in Hannam-dong due to pro- and anti-impeachment rallies, concerns over student safety during their commutes have increased. Especially on the day of the verdict, a larger crowd is expected, prompting the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education to decide on temporary closures for 11 kindergartens, elementary, middle, high, and special schools near the Constitutional Court.

The schools that decided on temporary closure include 2 kindergartens (Jaedong Elementary Attached Kindergarten, Unhyeon Kindergarten), 3 elementary schools (Jaedong Elementary, Gyodong Elementary, Unhyeon Elementary), 2 middle schools (Deokseong Girls' Middle, Jungang Middle), 3 high schools (Deokseong Girls' High, Jungang High, Daedong Tax High), and 1 special school (Gyeongun School).

The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education plans to continuously operate a school commuting safety task force that shares emergency response plans with schools and can respond swiftly in case of urgent situations.

The Jungbu Education Support Office plans to provide emergency care at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Children's Library and the Early Childhood Education Promotion Institute even on temporary closure days for students requiring care.

Superintendent Jeong said, "To prevent student safety accidents caused by impeachment rallies, we are implementing temporary closures and shortened classes by school, and after the impeachment verdict, we will do our best to ensure stability in commuting routes and educational activities amid rallies and demonstrations."
