Dongmyung University Implements Exchange and Cooperation Program with Niigata University of Health and Welfare's Department of Occupational Therapy

The Department of Occupational Therapy at Tongmyong University (headed by Cho Seunghyun) held an exchange and cooperation program with the Department of Occupational Therapy at Niigata University of Health and Welfare in Japan on the 12th at the university campus.

Two professors and six students from Niigata University participated, promoting academic exchange and cultural understanding between students of both countries, and sharing occupational therapy curricula and clinical experiences through case presentations and discussions.


Department head Cho Seunghyun stated, "It was an opportunity for students to develop an international perspective and understand global trends in occupational therapy." Professor Cho Mirim added, "We were able to experience diverse approaches to occupational therapy within different cultural backgrounds."


The faculty from Niigata University of Health and Welfare remarked, "We were deeply impressed by Tongmyong University's excellent educational facilities and programs," and expressed hope for "continued close cooperation through student exchange programs and joint research projects between the two universities."


A student from the Department of Occupational Therapy at Tongmyong University who participated in the program shared, "Through exchanges with students from Niigata University of Health and Welfare, I was able to learn about Japan's occupational therapy system and approaches, and it was a great opportunity to build an international network."


Starting with this exchange and cooperation program, the Department of Occupational Therapy at Tongmyong University plans to pursue regular exchanges with Niigata University of Health and Welfare and further strengthen efforts to foster occupational therapy professionals with a global perspective.
