Minister Oh: "We Will Discuss with Relevant Agencies"
The Small and Medium Business Ombudsman announced on the 14th that it held the first 'Growth Ladder Forum' of the year by inviting Oh Young-joo, Minister of SMEs and Startups, along with representatives from eight associations related to small and medium ventures, women and youth enterprises, and small business owners, in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The Growth Ladder Forum is a meeting where the Ombudsman and representatives of SME-related associations invite high-ranking government officials to listen to field opinions and discuss ways to improve regulations and address difficulties.

At the forum, the association representatives proposed ▲reducing the burden of accounts receivable insurance premiums for SMEs ▲postponing the mandatory introduction of barrier-free kiosks for small business owners.
Minister Oh Young-joo of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups stated, "We are reviewing ways to expand support for accounts receivable insurance premiums through collaboration with local governments and regional public institutions to reduce the burden on SMEs," and added, "Regarding the introduction of barrier-free kiosks, we will discuss measures to alleviate the burden on small business owners with relevant agencies."
Regarding other proposals from association representatives, such as fostering the femtech industry and supporting entrepreneurship education for startup success, she said, "Given the recent domestic and international uncertainties and the ongoing difficulties faced by SMEs, ventures, and small business owners, we plan to mobilize all means to help overcome the current management crisis."
Ombudsman Choi Seung-jae emphasized, "We will focus on improving chronic, hidden, and local regulations that have been repeatedly raised so that the public can feel the effects of regulatory innovation, creating a business-friendly environment," and added, "We will continue to serve as a bridge between the government and the industry."
