The government will continue to implement the Export Support Infrastructure Utilization Project (hereinafter referred to as the Export Voucher Project) this year to strengthen the export competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
According to the government on the 14th, the Export Voucher Project is a program that supports various export services to enhance the export competitiveness of SMEs, providing differential support ranging from 30 million to 100 million KRW depending on the scale of the company's export volume.
SMEs selected as participants in the Export Voucher Project receive vouchers from the operating agency and can purchase desired services on the Export Voucher portal site as if shopping.
The Export Voucher site has about 7,100 services registered across 14 fields, including promotional videos, design development, brand development, international transportation, overseas exhibitions, and interpretation/translation.
In particular, for promotional video production, about 570 services are registered on the menu of the Export Voucher Project site. Since it is difficult to predict the quality of the video before the final product is delivered, it is necessary to select the video production company more carefully.
Jang Young-cheol (photo), CEO of Zenique, a video production company participating in the Export Voucher Project, said, "There are several conditions that must be checked to produce a satisfactory video."
First, CEO Jang emphasizes the importance of verifying whether the company actually produces videos directly and how much experience they have in video production. It is necessary to filter out companies that hire salespeople who lack expertise in the field and only aim to win contracts.
It is also important to gauge how good the planning capability is. Many production companies produce videos by fitting them into a few formats for reasons such as cost reduction, but such production makes it difficult to achieve the desired purpose.
CEO Jang also advised, "You should request the production records made by the company," adding, "By watching previously produced videos, you can somewhat gauge the company's capability. Be cautious as some companies present videos they did not produce themselves as their portfolio."
