Hansung Cleantec, Turning Waste into Resources... "Full-Scale Launch of Eco-Friendly Recycling Business"

Hansung Cleantec announced on the 14th that it will actively pursue a new business through successful research and development of high value-added resource recycling using industrial waste. This is an innovative eco-friendly business model that simultaneously creates environmental protection and economic value by recycling waste from key industries such as semiconductors and secondary batteries as part of its sustainable growth strategy.

Hansung Cleantec, through its wholly owned subsidiary EN Water Solution, is conducting a new business that reproduces high value-added raw materials for major industries such as 'ammonium sulfate' (patent pending manufacturing method) and 'high-purity fluorite (calcium fluoride)' using waste generated from industrial processes. The main purpose is to enhance economic competitiveness and contribute to environmental protection by utilizing waste resources amid fierce competition for resource acquisition domestically and internationally.

Ammonium sulfate is used as a key raw material in fertilizers and the chemical industry, while fluorite is an essential raw material in semiconductor, steel, and glass manufacturing industries.

Hansung Cleantec recently succeeded in about three years of research and development through its subsidiary and plans to introduce this advanced technology to recover such high value-added resources from industrial waste and process them in an eco-friendly manner to supply across industries.

A Hansung Cleantec official said, "This business is expected to bring significant mid- to long-term profitability improvements by reducing costs previously treated as waste in the process and simultaneously enjoying cost reduction and sales expansion through recycling resource recirculation."

He added, "We will further strengthen ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, enhance eco-friendly processes to build a circular economy for industrial resources, and contribute to carbon emission reduction and the development of eco-friendly industries."

Meanwhile, Hansung Cleantec is actively promoting growth in its existing ultrapure water business sector and diversifying its business in key industry value chains such as semiconductors. In this regard, its subsidiary EN Water is advancing an eco-friendly water treatment filter material business using bamboo activated carbon.

CEO Jeong Jin-hak emphasized, "Hansung Cleantec aims to establish itself as a leading domestic company in the eco-friendly resource recycling field and further gain competitiveness in the global market. We will continue to expand eco-friendly technology development and sustainable business models to maximize shareholder value."
