Ottogi Begins Construction of Global Logistics Center at Ulsan Samnam Plant... 22.6 Billion KRW Invested

Investment in Ulsan After 33 Years... Expansion Possible Up to 500 Billion KRW
Ulsan City Supports Investment Projects Through Regional Responsibility Officers for Permits and Approvals

Ulsan City announced that Ottogi will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its 'Global Logistics Center' at 3 PM on the 14th at the Ottogi Ulsan Samnam Plant, located in Banggi-ri, Samnam-myeon, Ulju-gun.

The event will be attended by about 50 people, including Ottogi Chairman Ham Youngjoon, Ulsan Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs An Hyodae, and Ulju-gun Governor Lee Soongeol.

The Ottogi Global Logistics Center will begin construction on this day and is scheduled for completion in April next year, with a total construction cost of 22.6 billion KRW.

To prepare for the increase in export logistics volume, the logistics warehouse will be expanded to one basement level and five above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 15,106 square meters.

Once the expansion is complete, the Global Logistics Center will have a total storage capacity of 9,910 PLT, and will be able to handle a maximum daily inbound volume of 780 PLT and outbound volume of 720 PLT.

Ottogi plans to maximize logistics efficiency through the Global Logistics Center and further strengthen its competitiveness for global market expansion.

Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs An Hyodae said, "We thank Ottogi for choosing our region as its global logistics hub," and added, "We will spare no effort in supporting the successful completion of the project by operating regional field support officers for investment companies."

Ulsan City stated that in May last year, Ottogi decided to build the Global Logistics Center in Ulsan and immediately applied for permits in July. The city provided administrative support through its regional responsibility system for promoting corporate investment. As a result, the permit process for the industrial complex development project was completed in just five months, in December last year, enabling rapid project progress.

Currently, 167 people are working at the Ottogi Samnam Plant. Among them, 104 are Ulsan residents, contributing to local job creation. In particular, the construction of the Global Logistics Center is expected to have a positive impact on revitalizing the local economy and increasing employment through the hiring of new workers.
