Celebrating its 5th year, "Bodeulnamu" is a volunteer organization established in 2021 to support educational activities of visually impaired Korean language teachers, and has been consistently active every year.
At this inauguration ceremony, 30 newly selected members participated and pledged to play an important role in supporting visually impaired Korean language teachers.
In particular, this 5th group consists of graduates and fourth-year students, and over the next year, they are expected to provide practical educational support, such as giving feedback on writing assignments of learners taught by visually impaired teachers.
The new members will also learn how to utilize the learner error corpus from the National Institute of Korean Language and gain hands-on experience, thereby enhancing their ability to provide more professional feedback and support the writing skills of foreign learners.
Yoon Eunkyung, head of the department, said, "The activities of the Bodeulnamu volunteer group provide valuable opportunities for students majoring in Korean language education to gain real-world teaching experience," and added, "We will continue to expand our activities in cooperation with the local community and realize the social value of Korean language education."
