Capacity Building Training for Public Institutions Conducted by Chungnam Provincial Audit Committee

Chungnam Province has begun efforts to strengthen the capabilities of recruitment, accounting, and subsidy managers at its 18 affiliated public institutions in order to enhance their accountability and efficiency.

The Chungnam Provincial Audit Committee announced that at 3 p.m. on the 13th, it held a capacity-building training session at the Chungnam Veterans Center for about 80 recruitment, accounting, and subsidy managers from its affiliated public institutions.

The training focused on case studies, including recent controversies regarding fair recruitment and audit findings, with explanations from instructors and Q&A sessions to improve understanding of the work and to help participants improve conventional work practices.

The province plans to continue providing training to strengthen accountability through transparent and efficient management of its affiliated public institutions.

Sung Wooje, Chairperson of the Provincial Audit Committee, said, "We will continue to promote education and consulting audits to operate audits in a preventive and problem-solving manner, rather than focusing only on post-incident detection," and added, "We will provide continuous support and performance audits to ensure that public institutions operate in line with their founding purposes."
