"Impeachment Trial Score for the Democratic Party: 8 to 0"
The Constitutional Court dismissed the impeachment motions against Choi Jae-hae, Chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection, Lee Chang-soo, Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, and two other prosecutors, prompting former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon to describe the outcome as a "foreseen result."
On the 13th, former leader Han posted on his Facebook under the title "The Conclusion of a Personal Revenge Drama," stating this view. He pointed out, "The impeachment trial score for Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party is now 8:0 (dismissed:accepted)," and added, "The essence of the impeachment motions against the four public officials dismissed today is personal revenge and conflict of interest."

Former leader Han said, "Chairman Choi audited the concealment of the shooting of public officials in the West Sea, the nuclear phase-out policy, and statistical manipulation that occurred during the Democratic Party's administration. Prosecutor Lee, as head of the Seongnam branch, led investigations into Lee Jae-myung's Baekhyeon-dong and Seongnam FC cases," adding, "The suspension of the Central District Prosecutors' Office leadership was directly related to responding to the appeal trial for Lee's perjury coaching and maintaining the indictment in the Daejang-dong case. It's all their own issues."
He continued, "In a constitutional system where conflicts of interest cannot be prevented in impeachment, the Democratic Party under Lee Jae-myung is freely using impeachment as a tool for personal revenge," criticizing, "The Democratic Party openly discusses even the 30th and 31st impeachments. The 'restraint' premised by the 1987 system is nowhere to be found."
Furthermore, he emphasized, "Now, we must stop the 'most dangerous person,' close the door on the exhausted 1987 system, and move into a new era," adding, "Constitutional amendment, a new era, and the spirit of sacrifice for that new era. This is the path we must take and the values we need now."
Meanwhile, the Presidential Office welcomed the Constitutional Court's dismissal of all impeachment trials against Chairman Choi, Prosecutor Lee, and the other three prosecutors. In a statement issued by the spokesperson's office, the Presidential Office said, "The Constitutional Court dismissed all four impeachment motions, which were baseless and unclear in their grounds, sounding a warning against the opposition party's reckless impeachment attempts," and added, "We hope public officials will return to their duties promptly and that national governance will normalize."
