The first half forklift course can be applied for online through the integrated reservation system on the Yeoncheon-gun Office website. The recruitment target is limited to those aged 40 to 65 who reside in Yeoncheon-gun or work within the district, specifically retirees or those planning to retire, to support their second career planning.
Among the applicants received during the recruitment period, 10 people will be selected through a computer random selection program. The course includes both theoretical and practical training to obtain the national forklift operator certification.
The training schedule is every Tuesday and Friday from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, held at the outdoor practice field of Yeoncheon High School from April 1 to May 2, 2025. The theoretical course covers construction machinery engines and electrical devices, new devices and work equipment, general hydraulics, safety management, construction machinery management regulations, and road traffic laws. The practical course will involve hands-on training to acquire forklift operator skills.
The tuition is free, but students are responsible for purchasing textbooks for the theoretical education and covering fuel costs necessary for equipment operation.
