Starting with the launching ceremony of the Public Forest Management Project Team, a total of 85 workers (2 safety managers, 22 skilled workers, 60 general workers, and 1 assistant) will be active for nine months until December 6. Following the ceremony, a safety training session will be held on the 14th.
This project aims to create local jobs while fostering forests as valuable resources and supplying forest biomass (such as sawdust and firewood) to residents who collect forest by-products, thereby promoting the utilization of forest resources.
In particular, the project plans to focus on improving the landscape and environment by removing trees at risk of forest disasters and dead trees, thereby addressing inconveniences faced by residents.
County Governor Son Byeongbok said, "By enhancing the value of forest resources, we expect to not only create local jobs but also increase resident satisfaction through sawdust production, firewood sharing for vulnerable groups in winter, and restoration of areas damaged by wildfires."
