Gwangju Bank (President Ko Byungil) announced on the 13th that it has delivered a donation of 200 million KRW to the Gwangju Economic Promotion and Win-Win Job Foundation to support the activation of the Gwangju Public Delivery App.
The donation ceremony was held at the Gwangju City Hall Business Room, attended by Mayor Kang Gijung, Kim Hyunsung, CEO of the Gwangju Economic Promotion and Win-Win Job Foundation, and other related officials.
This donation will be used by the Gwangju Economic Promotion and Win-Win Job Foundation to provide consumer discount coupons and delivery fee support for the Gwangju Public Delivery App. It is expected to greatly contribute to the activation of the public delivery app, which is competing with large private platforms with limited resources.
Gwangju City operates the Gwangju Public Delivery App (WemakepriceO, Ttaenggyeoyo) with a low intermediary fee of 2%, alleviating the delivery brokerage fee burden for local small business owners. By issuing weekend consumption promotion discount coupons, integrating payment systems for the Gwangju Win-Win Card and Onnuri Gift Certificates, and running various promotions by the app operators themselves, the city provides benefits to consumers, thereby promoting local consumption and revitalizing the economy.
Ko Byungil, President of Gwangju Bank, said, "The Gwangju Public Delivery App has the great advantage of simultaneously reducing the delivery brokerage fee burden for local small business owners and the delivery fee burden for consumers. We will actively participate in Gwangju City's support projects so that more local residents can enjoy these benefits, contribute to revitalizing the local economy, and further realize the value of win-win growth."
