Kim Dong-yeon to Continue Solo Protest for 'Yoon Seok-yeol's Dismissal' Until the 17th

Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon, who began a solo picket protest on the 10th calling for the "impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol" following the court's decision to cancel President Yoon Seok-yeol's detention, will continue the protest until the 17th.


Governor Kim will first hold a solo picket protest at Hanam Misa Station from 6 PM to 7 PM on the 13th. Then, on the 14th, he will protest at Pangyo Station from 8 AM to 9 AM, and on the 15th, he will attend the Gwanghwamun rally. Additionally, on Monday the 17th, he will hold a solo picket protest at Uijeongbu Station from 6 PM to 7 PM.


Earlier, on the evening of the 10th, Governor Kim restarted his solo protest at Suwon Station holding a picket that read "Immediate dismissal of the leader of the rebellion." This was about three months after the protest against President Yoon’s declaration of martial law in December last year.


After the protest, he posted on his social media, "I started a solo protest near Suwon Station," emphasizing, "The completion of impeachment is only the dismissal of the leader of the rebellion."


The next day, on the 11th at 8:30 AM, Governor Kim moved to the Suwon Gwanggyo Central Transfer Center to hold a solo picket protest calling for President Yoon’s dismissal.


Kim Dong-yeon to Continue Solo Protest for 'Yoon Seok-yeol's Dismissal' Until the 17th Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon visited the Democratic Party's tent protest site in Gwanghwamun on the 12th and posted a message and photos on his social media.

On the 12th, Governor Kim visited the Democratic Party’s tent protest site in Gwanghwamun and posted on his social media, "We must unite all our strength with the same heart to achieve early impeachment, 100% impeachment. The starting point for removing all uncertainties now is only immediate impeachment and dismissal of the leader of the rebellion."


Since President Yoon’s declaration of emergency martial law last December, Governor Kim has participated in candlelight rallies in front of the National Assembly and held solo picket protests. He attended the candlelight rally in front of the National Assembly on December 7th, when the impeachment motion against President Yoon was submitted to the plenary session. He also attended candlelight rallies in Seoul after work on December 9th and 10th.


On the 11th of the same month, after work, he held a solo protest on Nahye-seok Street in Ingye-dong, Suwon, holding a sign that read "Arrest Yoon Seok-yeol immediately! Impeach immediately!!"


On March 1st of this year, Governor Kim attended the "National Rally Urging the Impeachment of Yoon Seok-yeol" held at Anguk-dong Intersection by the Democratic Party and four other opposition parties.
