Speaker of the National Assembly Woo Won-sik urged Acting President and Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Minister of Strategy and Finance Choi Sang-mok to promptly appoint Ma Eun-hyuk as a Constitutional Court justice candidate, while Yoon Sang-hyun, a member of the People Power Party, criticized this as an "act that shakes the foundation of the country."

On the 13th, Representative Yoon posted on his social media, "Speaker Woo even held a press conference to pressure Acting President Choi for the swift appointment of candidate Ma," adding, "The Speaker of the National Assembly must maintain political neutrality, but pressuring with the implication that if Ma is not appointed, they will join the Democratic Party's impeachment is an act that undermines the constitutional order." He continued, "Acting President Choi does not need to waver. He should simply follow what the constitution stipulates," emphasizing, "The final appointment authority for Constitutional Court justices lies with the president. The Constitutional Court also dismissed the request to grant candidate Ma the status of a justice, stating that the status confirmation part was inappropriate."

He went on, "The final arguments for President Yoon Seok-yeol's impeachment trial have concluded, and only the verdict remains. Why appoint an individual with extreme bias as a Constitutional Court justice at this sensitive time?" he questioned. "Isn't this an attempt to control the Constitutional Court and influence the impeachment trial outcome? There is no need to invoke the constitutional order for a fact that even a child in Samcheok would understand," he pointed out. Furthermore, "Candidate Ma is considered even more left-leaning than Justice Moon Hyung-bae, who proudly claimed to be the most leftist. In the past, he was active in the Incheon Democratic Workers' Federation and argued that 'progressive parties are the only weapon,'" he said. "If such a person enters the Constitutional Court and intervenes in the presidential impeachment trial, the outcome is obvious. The Constitutional Court, the last bastion of the constitution and democracy, will lose trust and the foundation of the constitutional order will collapse," he asserted.

Additionally, Representative Yoon stated, "Speaker Woo said Acting President Choi is damaging the foundation of the country and public service discipline, but in reality, those shaking the foundation of the country are Speaker Woo and the major opposition party pressuring the appointment of candidate Ma," urging, "The Speaker of the National Assembly must at least maintain political neutrality." He also added, "Stop the attempt to seize control of the Constitutional Court immediately. The entire nation is watching closely to see who the bad forces denying the constitutional order are."
