Actor Kim Soo-hyun, who has been accused of dating the late Kim Sae-ron for several years, will make an official statement next week.

On the 13th, Kim Soo-hyun's agency Gold Medalist announced, "We apologize for causing fatigue over a long period," and added, "We will clarify the facts and respond to baseless rumors by making a statement next week based on clear evidence."

However, the exact method, timing, and location of the statement were not disclosed.

Previously, Kim Soo-hyun was accused of having dated Kim Sae-ron, who was a minor at the time, for several years. According to the YouTube channel "Garosero Research Institute (Gase-yeon)," Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family claims that the late actress dated Kim Soo-hyun for six years starting from when she was 15 years old.

Gase-yeon has been consecutively releasing evidence supporting that the two were in a romantic relationship. On the 11th, they revealed a photo of a kiss on the cheek, and on the 12th, they disclosed letters presumed to have been sent by Kim Soo-hyun to Kim Sae-ron in 2018 and 2019.

As the controversy grows daily, Kim Soo-hyun's broadcasting activities and advertising appearances are also being affected. Kim Soo-hyun announced that he would not participate in the scheduled filming that day amid increasing public criticism, including demands for his withdrawal on the MBC variety show "Good Day" viewer board. Additionally, CJ Foodville, whose contract with Kim Soo-hyun is about to expire, is reportedly not planning to renew the contract.
