"Improving Living Conditions"

According to the county on the 13th, this project is designed to prevent safety accidents caused by building collapses and to improve poor living conditions by renovating vacant houses left unattended in rural areas.

The project targets houses and buildings in rural areas that have not been inhabited or used for over a year. If the owner voluntarily demolishes the building, a portion of the demolition cost will be subsidized.
The county plans to renovate 17 vacant houses this year and will provide up to 3 million KRW in demolition support depending on the building's size.
In particular, regarding the handling of slate, which is cited as one of the main issues in vacant house maintenance projects, the county expects more efficient project implementation by providing guidance on linking with the slate disposal support project in cooperation with relevant departments.
The application period is until the 21st. Applicants must visit the customized welfare team at their respective towns or townships to fill out the application form and submit the required documents.
County Governor Choi Hunsik said, "We expect that renovating abandoned vacant houses will greatly help create a pleasant living environment and improve the rural landscape," and added, "We will continue to strive to improve residents' living conditions through ongoing maintenance projects."
