Roadside Cleaning and Monitoring of Illegal Dumping Areas
Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) will officially operate the '365 Cleanliness Task Force' starting this month to provide a pleasant environment for local residents and visitors using the commercial area around Mia Sageori Station.
The Gangbuk-gu 365 Clean-up Task Force is cleaning the roadside around Miasageori Station. Provided by Gangbuk-gu.
The area around Mia Sageori Station is densely packed with commercial facilities and has a high floating population, but it has been pointed out that management is relatively insufficient compared to the nearby Suyu Station area. In response, Gangbuk-gu has prepared customized cleaning measures considering the characteristics of the area and launched this project to actively resolve residents' inconveniences.
The Gangbuk-gu 365 Cleanliness Task Force is composed of two-person teams and operates intensively during the night and weekends, which are the off-duty hours for environmental officers. On weekdays, they patrol intensively from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and on weekends from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., focusing on side streets and alleys in commercial facility-dense areas within the district.
They will perform practical environmental management tasks such as roadside cleaning, monitoring illegal dumping areas, and inspecting odor-generating locations, providing meticulous cleaning services that meet the expectations of residents and merchants.
Gangbuk-gu expects that this measure will greatly improve the cleanliness around Mia Sageori Station and contribute to the development of the area.
Mayor Lee Soon-hee said, "Although the commercial area around Mia Sageori Station is an important hub of Gangbuk-gu, there have been many residents' opinions about insufficient management. Through the operation of the 365 Cleanliness Task Force, we will maintain a clean environment even during off-duty hours and create changes that both residents and merchants can feel."
