Incheon City announced on the 13th that 'Songdohyang,' a traditional liquor manufacturer located in Namdong-gu, recently won the top prize in the unfiltered liquor category at the 2025 Korea Liquor Awards Expo.
Songdohyang was selected as the 'Best of 2025' in the unfiltered liquor category for its premium rice sparkling wine, 'Oh My God Sparkling Spring Flower.' It received praise for its stylish design and consumer-friendly concept targeting the younger generation.
The Korea Liquor Awards Expo is a prestigious event in the domestic liquor industry that annually selects outstanding products through quality evaluations of traditional liquors and consumer preference analyses.
Through this award, Songdohyang will receive various marketing benefits, including priority placement opportunities with domestic and international distributors, eligibility to participate in traditional liquor exhibition planning, and the right to attach the liquor awards certification mark.
The company registered 'Samyangchun' as Incheon's first regional specialty liquor in 2017 and manufactures and sells traditional liquors made from rice and sweet potatoes produced in Ganghwado.
Meanwhile, the city is promoting various support measures to foster the traditional liquor industry as a regional specialized industry and expand sales channels. These include developing breweries into tourism and cultural spaces, operating promotional events linked to major Incheon city events, supporting participation in domestic and international liquor expos, and establishing online distribution networks.
An Incheon city official stated, "This award once again recognizes the excellence of Incheon traditional liquors," adding, "We will provide maximum support so that traditional liquors reflecting regional characteristics become a familiar culture in citizens' daily lives."
