The Namak New Town sports facility construction site is being developed with a project budget of 33.7 billion KRW, consisting of one basement floor, two above-ground floors, and a total floor area of 8,210 square meters. The project is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2026, and the underground framework is currently underway.
Governor Kim thoroughly inspected the site, checking for ground subsidence, retaining wall facilities, and the installation status of measuring instruments. In addition, in response to a series of recent fire accidents at construction sites, he inspected fire risk factors and emphasized fire prevention and initial response measures to those involved.
Governor Kim stated, "The thawing season is a time when the risk of collapse accidents and fires is high due to ground weakening, so thorough safety inspections are essential. At large construction sites, even a minor accident can lead to significant damage, so please do your utmost to prevent safety accidents at construction sites."
