Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi)'s 'Alley Cleaning with the Mayor' will continue in 2025.

On the morning of the 12th, the district held the first alley cleaning of 2025 in Junghwa 1-dong, accelerating efforts to create a 'THE Clean Jungnang.' About 50 local residents and related officials participated in the cleaning, collecting trash and maintaining the environment mainly along the 810-meter side roads and alleys vulnerable to illegal dumping, working together to create a clean living environment.

Started in 2018, the morning alley cleaning has now reached its 159th session, playing a significant role in spreading a voluntary cleaning culture in the community. So far, 5,192 people have participated, and the cleaned sections total 130.16 km.

A resident who participated in the alley cleaning said, "Although I walk this alley every day, today it felt more special," and added, "Seeing the street become cleaner with my own eyes makes me feel good."

Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "With the attitude of 'Woomunhyundap' (Our problems have answers on the site), I will work with residents on the ground to create a clean Jungnang," and added, "We will continue to make Jungnang-gu the cleanest autonomous district in Seoul together with the residents."
