Meet Excellent Agricultural Specialty Products at Affordable Prices
Various Programs Including Hands-on Activities and Performances
Sancheong County, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 13th that the ‘2025 Sancheong Agricultural Specialty Products Grand Festival’ will be held from April 11 to 13 at the Donguibogam Village Lawn Square.
This grand festival, jointly led by the Sancheong branch of the Korea Beekeeping Association and local farmers, has been organized to strategically promote Sancheong’s excellent agricultural specialty products. It is also linked with the 2025 Visit Sancheong Year to attract tourists, increase farmers’ income, and revitalize the local economy.
Under the subtitle ‘A Sweet Spring Picnic with the Honeybee General and Strawberry Princess,’ the festival will offer high-quality local products such as honey, strawberries, wild vegetables, and black pork at affordable prices.
In addition, a variety of events and special discount promotions, live commerce, Agricultural KidZania, specialty product farm tours, and distributor fam tours will take place.
The festival will kick off at 3 p.m. on the 11th with an opening video titled ‘Hot Place for Young Farmers, Sancheong’ and an opening performance by agricultural organizations. This will be followed by the 2025 Sancheong Star Farmer Award ceremony, a congratulatory performance by guest singer Kim Heejae, and a talent show by agricultural groups.
On the 12th, guest singers My Jin and Kim Suchan will give celebratory performances, along with the ‘Honeybee General and Strawberry Princess Duet Song Contest.’ On the 13th, there will be a Kkeundeul Madanggeuk (traditional outdoor play) performance, a Sancheong Culture and Arts Festival by local art groups, and the final festival event linked with the ‘Sanen Cheong Taste and Style Contest’ to promote Sancheong’s Makgeolli and specialty products.
Especially during the festival, family visitors in spring can enjoy ‘perfectly delicious and fun hands-on activities’ at various zones, including the Vitamin Charging Fruit Zone, Eco Sancheong Honeybee Zone, Immunity-Boosting Wild Vegetables & Medicinal Herbs Zone, and the Agricultural Playground.
At the Eco Sancheong Honeybee Zone, there will be activities to promote the excellence of Sancheong honey, mini beehive making, ‘Bee Happy’ experiences, and a children’s honeybee class.
At the Agricultural Playground Experience Zone, visitors of all ages can enjoy activities such as Agricultural KidZania, making nostalgic black rubber shoes, crafting spring picnic flower hats, organic food experiences, and kitchen garden & food psychology activities.
In addition, a specialty product marketplace will be operated to sell high-quality medicinal herbs and agricultural products produced in the clean Jirisan area at affordable prices, along with consultations for those interested in returning to farming or rural living.
Furthermore, at the Sanen Cheong Food Village, there will be a Sancheong Black Pork & Korean Beef restaurant, a Sancheong Rice & Black Pork Pulled Pork Pizza making experience, and a 30-50% discount on black pork, Korean beef, and rice pizza.
