The Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association announced that it will hold the "1st Pharmaceutical Bio Innovation Forum" on the 21st.
According to the industry on the 13th, the association will hold the Innovation Forum for the first time on the 21st of this month at The Great Hall on the 3rd floor of Chosun Palace Seoul Gangnam. The Innovation Forum aims to set the development direction of Korea's pharmaceutical bio industry and to derive strategies and implementation tasks necessary to achieve the Pharmaceutical Bio Vision 2030 ("K-Pharma, Korea's Healthy Future") established to mark the association's 80th anniversary.
The Innovation Forum will be held sequentially in three sessions under the themes of ▲leading new drug development nation ▲increasing global achievements ▲strengthening manufacturing capabilities.
The first forum will be held under the theme "How to Achieve the Leap to a Leading New Drug Development Nation" for the upcoming 100-year great leap forward.
On the day of the forum, Chairman Noh Yeon-hong of the association will deliver the opening remarks, followed by a keynote speech by Lee Gwan-soon, Chair of the Future Vision Committee, titled "Innovative Challenges in New Drug Development: The Time Given to Us Is Short!" Then, Standard Hee Pyo, Vice Director of the Association's AI New Drug Convergence Research Institute, will give a presentation on "Changing the Landscape of New Drug Development with AI: The Core of Strengthening Competitiveness."
Additionally, Lee Byung-gun, Chairman of GI Innovation, will serve as the moderator, and a panel discussion will be held with Kim Seok-kwan, Senior Researcher at the Science and Technology Policy Institute (Collaborative Ecosystem), Kim Young-joo, President of Chong Kun Dang (Recognition of Innovation Value), Lee Young-mi, Vice President of Yuhan Corporation (Technological Innovation), and Jung Eun-young, Director of the Health Industry Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Health and Welfare (Government Role).
Chairman Noh Yeon-hong stated, "This forum is the first step toward realizing the Pharmaceutical Bio Vision 2030," adding, "In the rapidly changing global environment, our country will strive to leap forward as a leading nation in new drug development and seek ways for continuous growth and development of the pharmaceutical bio industry."
