5.18 Memorial Foundation Recruiting Youth Activists 'MAYZ' Recruitment Poster for 5·18 Youth Hwangdongga (MAYZ).

The May 18 Memorial Foundation (Chairperson Won Soonseok) and the Gwangju Heungsadan (Executive Representative Jeong Pilung) announced on the 12th that they are recruiting May 18 Youth Activists, targeting young people in their 20s and 30s residing in Gwangju.

The May 18 Youth Activist program is a project that combines historical education and civic participation, designed to help young people understand the May 18 Democratization Movement and engage in various activities.

The name of the activists, 'MAYZ,' combines MAY (May) and Generation Z, representing a platform for young activists to learn and spread the spirit of May 18.

This project will select participants mainly from young people in their 20s and 30s in the Gwangju area, providing systematic May 18 education as well as supporting activities such as 'youth docents' and 'youth training.' It will also offer opportunities to interact with young people nationwide.

The recruitment period is two weeks, from the 13th to the 27th. The basic May 18 education is scheduled to take place over two days, on the 4th and 5th of next month.

Detailed information and application methods for the 'May 18 Youth Activist (MAYZ)' recruitment can be found in the 'Notices' section of the May 18 Memorial Foundation website.
