Hamyang County Conducts Safety and Health Training for Supervisors to Prevent Serious Accidents

Hamyang County in Gyeongnam is conducting safety and health education for supervisors at the Hamyang County Agricultural Technology Center's Farmer Education Hall in three sessions from the 11th to the 18th, with a total of 153 participants including supervisors, to prevent industrial accidents among county employees and to promote a culture of safety.

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Act, a supervisor is defined as a person who is in a position to directly command and supervise their staff and is responsible for carrying out tasks related to industrial safety and health.

Safety and Health Training for Supervisors in Hamyang County.

This year, in accordance with the county's safety and health management plan for the prevention of serious accidents, Hamyang County has designated supervisors as those in charge of departments where field employees work.

This training consists of 8 hours of online education and 8 hours of on-site education, and features a professional instructor invited through a Ministry of Employment and Labor-designated training institution. The instructor will cover topics such as the roles and duties of supervisors, prevention of industrial accidents in subcontracted work, risk assessment, and case studies of accidents.

Kim Byungsun, head of the Safety Management Division, stated, "Since the role of supervisors who work closely with field employees is extremely important, we will do our best to prevent industrial accidents through safety and health education," adding, "I hope this training will help strengthen the safety and health management capabilities of supervisors."

In particular, Hamyang County is also expanding the training to include not only supervisors but also field staff, thereby continuously strengthening safety and health management capabilities.
