Scheduled to Appear as a Witness at Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on the 13th
Regarding the 'Myung Taegyun Polling Cost Payment Allegation' raised against Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, Kim Byung-min, Seoul Deputy Mayor for Political Affairs, will appear at the prosecution on the 13th.
According to Seoul City on the 11th, Deputy Mayor Kim is scheduled to appear at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office as a witness at 1:30 PM on the 13th.
Lee Jong-hyun, Seoul City's Public Communication Special Advisor, stated, "He will sincerely explain and clearly clarify the 5% truth and 95% falsehood included in Myung Taegyun's testimony during his appearance."
Mayor Oh has completely denied the allegations regarding his relationship with Mr. Myung, saying, "I judged him to be a person not worth dealing with initially and cut off relations. I have never received polling results nor paid any costs on his behalf."
He has also filed a complaint with the Central District Prosecutors' Office against Mr. Myung for violating the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation), demanding proof of when and to whom he delivered the materials.
The special advisor added, "Even after submitting the complaint, we have continuously urged the prosecution for a swift investigation into the Myung Taegyun fraud case," and said, "Anyone, including Mayor Oh Se-hoon, will actively cooperate with the investigation."
Earlier, on the 10th, Kang Cheol-won, former Deputy Mayor for Political Affairs and a close aide of Mayor Oh, and Park Chan-gu, Political Affairs Special Advisor, appeared at the prosecution as witnesses and complainants.
