T map: "Baseless False Information"
Original Poster Admits "Incorrect Information"
Amid rumors spreading on social media that a designated driver called through T map attempted to kidnap a passenger, T map Mobility has denied the claims as untrue.
On the 11th, T map Mobility issued a statement on Instagram regarding the designated driver posts in the Chungbuk region, stating, "The claim that the T map designated driver service was involved is not true."
T map Mobility said, "Our company is not related to the content mentioned in the post," and added, "The spread of baseless information can cause confusion among users, so we kindly ask you to refrain from sharing inaccurate content."
Earlier, on X (formerly Twitter), a post was made on the 7th claiming that a friend who called a T map designated driver in Chungju, Chungbuk, was nearly kidnapped by a group of three people.
The post's author also claimed that after directly inquiring with T map, they received a response that "a foreigner whose face was different from the driver registered in the application was registered."
Subsequently, this post quickly spread through social media.
It is currently known that the original author of the post has admitted to posting incorrect information and has posted a message expressing remorse.
