Police Decide to Disclose Personal Information
of Teacher Accused of Murder
The personal information, including the face and name, of Myung Mo, an elementary school teacher accused of murdering Kim Haneul at an elementary school in Daejeon, will be disclosed.

The Daejeon Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 11th that it held a personal information disclosure review committee and decided to disclose Myung's personal information to the public. Accordingly, the name, age, and facial photo will be disclosed on the Daejeon Metropolitan Police Agency website for 30 days from the 12th to the 11th of next month.
The review committee members reached a consensus to disclose the personal information after comprehensively considering the brutality of the crime, the seriousness of the victim's harm, and the opinions of the victim's family.
Regarding this decision, it is known that Myung expressed no objection. According to the Act on the Disclosure of Personal Information of Suspects of Certain Serious Crimes, a five-day grace period must be given after the committee's decision to disclose personal information. However, if the suspect expresses in writing that they have no objection to the disclosure decision, the information can be disclosed immediately without a grace period.
Myung is accused of stabbing and killing Kim at an elementary school in Seo-gu, Daejeon, on the 10th of last month.
