The Gwangju Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Director Kim Seokki) announced on the 11th that, together with Gwangju Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital (Director Yeom Seungcheol), they visited the families of independence patriots residing in Gwangju to provide traditional Korean medical treatment and deliver consolation gifts.
The families of independence patriots visited by the Gwangju Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs this time were the spouse of the late Moon Byunggap (awarded the Order of Merit for National Foundation, Patriotic Medal in 1990) and the spouse of the late Seong Sanggyu (awarded the Presidential Citation in 2020), identified as Ms. Lee and Ms. Choi, respectively.
Yeom Seungcheol, Director of Gwangju Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital, who provided the traditional medical treatment, stated, "As this year marks the 80th anniversary of Liberation, we will continue to visit the homes of five spouses of independence patriots as their primary Korean medicine doctors, providing ongoing support such as acupuncture and herbal medicine to honor their dedication."
Kim Seokki, Director of the Gwangju Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, said, "We will continue to strive for the welfare of independence patriots, national patriots, and their families," adding, "We will do our best to realize 'Living Patriots and Veterans Affairs in Everyday Life, Patriots and Veterans Affairs for All,' in cooperation with the local community."
