Effectiveness of the "One Shipping Company, One+ Route Attraction Campaign"
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Sunghyun, hereinafter referred to as the Authority) announced on the 11th that it has attracted TS Line, a Taiwanese shipping company's new container liner service, the Northeast Asia Service (Japan-Taiwan-HKG-Thai EXPRESS), to Gwangyang Port.
According to the Authority, two vessels of approximately 1,200 TEU class will be deployed for this Northeast Asia Service. The service is expected to handle about 300 TEU per week, contributing to the creation of over 15,000 TEU of cargo volume annually at Gwangyang Port.

The detailed port rotation for this service is Gwangyang-Osaka-Kobe-Nagoya-Yokohama-Tokyo-Keelung (Taiwan)-Taichung (Taiwan)-Kaohsiung (Taiwan)-Hong Kong-Nansha-Chiwan-Osaka-Gwangyang.
The Authority believes that attracting this new route will strengthen connectivity between Gwangyang Port and its major trading partners such as Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and will significantly contribute to regional economic growth by supporting export companies through expanded Northeast Asia shipping capacity.
In particular, this new service is operated exclusively by TS Line, which is significant for increasing the utilization rate of Gwangyang Port. The Authority also plans to further strengthen targeted marketing for shipping lines to revitalize routes in the future.
President Park Sunghyun stated, "As a result of continuously promoting the 'One Shipping Company, One+ Route Attraction Campaign,' a total of 27 new regular liner services have been attracted to Gwangyang Port since my inauguration. We will continue to actively pursue the route attraction campaign to make Gwangyang Port a more competitive port."
Meanwhile, including this new Northeast Asia service, Gwangyang Port will now provide 81 weekly container liner services.
