On the 11th, Jo Seon-ho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, will conclude over 30 years of public service and hold an honorable retirement ceremony.
The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced that the retirement ceremony for Director Jo Seon-ho will be held at 3:30 PM on the same day in the main auditorium on the first floor of the headquarters in Paldal-gu, Suwon.
The event will proceed in the following order: watching a video of Director Jo Seon-ho's activities, presenting a plaque of appreciation, awarding a commemorative plaque for his service, delivering a retirement speech and presenting a bouquet, followed by a commemorative photo session.
Director Jo is originally from Dangjin, Chungnam, graduated from Dongguk University, and entered public service as the 8th class of fire officer candidates.
He has held key fire service positions including Chief of Mapo Fire Station, Protection Investigation Division at the Ministry of Public Safety and Security, Disaster Safety Secretary Office at the Presidential Secretariat, Fire Prevention Division Chief at the National Fire Agency, Planning and Finance Officer, Spokesperson for the National Fire Agency, and Fire Headquarters Chief of Chungcheongnam-do.
During his tenure as head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, Director Jo relocated the cramped provincial fire and disaster headquarters to its current location at the foot of Paldalsan, and showed special interest in firefighting artifacts, organizing various exhibitions related to artifacts such as the 300th anniversary seminar on the production of fire guns.
