SK Ecoplant to Train 'Semiconductor Experts'... Operating Master's Program

SK ecoplant is accelerating the training of semiconductor specialists.

On the 11th, SK ecoplant announced that it has assigned all employees who completed the master's program in the High-Tech Solutions Department at Sungkyunkwan University to the semiconductor division.

Since 2022, SK ecoplant and its plant division subsidiary SK ecoengineering have been operating the master's program in the High-Tech Solutions Department in collaboration with Sungkyunkwan University. Last month, 11 second-term students received their degrees.

The master's program in the High-Tech Solutions Department at Sungkyunkwan University provides a specialized curriculum to enhance work capabilities related to recent construction industry trends such as artificial intelligence (AI) and Building Information Modeling (BIM). This program is open to SK ecoplant and SK ecoengineering employees who have graduated from a four-year university and have worked for at least three years. They receive one year’s salary and benefits during the program.

This initiative aims to strengthen competitiveness in the comprehensive semiconductor solutions business. Including the first-term graduates, 67% of the graduates have been assigned to the semiconductor division.

Recently, SK ecoplant has expanded its portfolio into comprehensive semiconductor services, reorganizing its business beyond simple engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) to encompass semiconductor fabrication plants (FAB) and infrastructure construction and operation, supply of materials such as industrial gases, and eco-friendly processing.
