Hwaseong-si "We Support Replacing Old Water Pipes"

For Detached and Apartment Houses Over 20 Years Old
30% to 90% of Construction Costs Supported Depending on Area

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 11th that it will implement the 'Support Project for Upgrading Water Pipes in Our Homes Without Rust' targeting old houses.

Hwaseong-si "We Support Replacing Old Water Pipes"

The support targets construction costs required for replacing indoor water pipes in detached houses with rust occurring and a total floor area of 130㎡ or less, or common pipes in apartment complexes, among houses over 20 years old. The city plans to invest 208 million KRW this year to support a total of 200 households: 100 households for indoor pipes and 100 households for common pipes.

For detached houses, up to 1.8 million KRW per household will be supported for indoor water pipes, and for apartment complexes, up to 600,000 KRW for common pipes. The support amount varies between 30% and 90% depending on the house area. For houses owned by basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income groups, the full construction cost will be supported up to a limit of 1.8 million KRW regardless of the area.

Applications are accepted from this month until November. However, the application period may close early if the budget is exhausted. The city will select recipients through document screening and on-site inspections. Among them, houses exceeding water quality standards due to indoor water supply facility issues, and homes owned by basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income groups will be given priority.

Interested households can download the documents posted on the Hwaseong City website and submit their applications in person at the Clear Water Facilities Division of the Clear Water Business Office.
