The two companies plan to build new business models centered on on-device AI across various fields. Qualcomm will provide SK Networks with IoT solutions such as the ‘Qualcomm DragonWing QCS6490,’ which supports on-device large language models (LLM).

The Qualcomm DragonWing QCS6490 is a high-performance SoC solution for industrial and commercial IoT, optimized for various IoT applications including robots, drones, gateways, tablets, and kiosks. It is expected to create synergy tailored to SK Networks’ characteristics as it integrates AI-linked business models.

SK Networks plans to review the potential use of Qualcomm technology in its headquarters and subsidiaries and aims to secure world-class AI performance and security by utilizing excellent IoT solutions. Furthermore, based on the capabilities secured through HiCoSystem, a global network of technology and investment industry experts, SK Networks plans to pursue continuous evolution.

Kwon Oh-hyung, President of Qualcomm Asia Pacific and Senior Vice President at headquarters, said, "Qualcomm continues to expand its portfolio of industrial and commercial IoT products and solutions, receiving positive responses across various industries such as robotics, manufacturing, logistics, and retail. We will further expand our business portfolio that supports the advantages of on-device AI."

Choi Sung-hwan, Chief Business Officer of SK Networks, said, "Partnering with Qualcomm, a global technology expert, allows us to deepen and accelerate our evolution as an AI company. We will strive to provide new experiences to customers by integrating AI into products and services and enrich humanity’s tomorrow."
