Realmeter Poll Shows More Support for President Yoon's Impeachment
Majority Favors Dismissal in Constitutional Court Trial, According to Survey
Regarding the impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol currently underway at the Constitutional Court, public opinion favoring impeachment and dismissal outweighed the opinion that the impeachment should be dismissed and the president reinstated.
According to a Realmeter public opinion poll conducted on the 11th (survey conducted on the 10th targeting 501 men and women aged 18 and over via wireless phone automated response method, with a sampling error of ±4.4 percentage points at a 95% confidence level, and a response rate of 8.1%), 55.6% of respondents said President Yoon should be dismissed in relation to the impeachment trial. This is an increase of 3.6 percentage points compared to the third week of February.
The opinion that the impeachment should be dismissed was 43.0%, a decrease of 2.1 percentage points compared to the previous survey.
By ideological inclination, 82.3% of progressives favored impeachment. Among conservatives, 69.6% favored dismissal. Among moderates, 65.8% supported impeachment.
