Held over 10 sessions from April 16 to May 8
Cheongyang County in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 11th that it is recruiting participants for the "2025 Basic Agricultural Technology Training for New Return-to-Farm Residents" to support ongoing population inflow and settlement.
The county plans to provide systematic agricultural technology and farming information to returnees and rural migrants through this program, along with hands-on training to help them settle stably in rural areas.
The training course will be held over 10 sessions (38 hours in total) from April 16 to May 8.
Anyone who has moved to Cheongyang County within the last five years as a return-to-farm or rural migrant, as well as those wishing to learn basic cultivation techniques, is eligible to apply. Each course is limited to 20 participants, and duplicate applications are allowed.
Applicants should visit the Return-to-Farm and Rural Migration Team at the county's Future Strategy Division by the 28th to register in person.
The county plans to strengthen practical support through this training, not only in agricultural technology but also in helping participants establish a stable living foundation.
In particular, customized expert training will be provided focusing on the region's main crops?red pepper, goji berry, and shiitake mushrooms. There will also be field trips to leading farms and processing sites to offer practical assistance to returnees.
A county official stated, "This training will be an important opportunity to help return-to-farm and rural migrants settle successfully," adding, "We will continue to develop various policies for these residents to further increase the local population inflow."
