Dobong-gu Residents Can Enjoy a 70% Discount

Dobong-gu Operates Gyeonggi-do Yeoncheon Miracle Town Resident Camping Site with 70% Discount O Eon-seok, the mayor of Dobong-gu, is inspecting the camping site.

Starting this May, residents of Dobong-gu will be able to use a nearby camping site at a 70% discounted price.

The district announced that from May, it will lease Yeoncheon Miracle Town in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do, and operate it as a camping site for Dobong-gu residents (Dobong Nature Healing Family Camping Site).

The leased facility includes 13 pension-style units that are easy for camping beginners to use and 10 camping decks for experienced campers.

The pension-style units consist of cabin houses, spa bunker houses, and hanok caravans, equipped with outdoor tables and barbecue grills.

The Yeoncheon Miracle Town camping site leased by the district covers an area of about 14,000㎡ and is equipped with various camping facilities and auxiliary amenities. Auxiliary facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, Seravi Hanok Cafe, and an ecological wetland walking trail.

Near the camping site, tourist infrastructure such as Imjingang Dapsari Park and Typhoon Observatory is well established, allowing visitors to enjoy true natural healing and leisure away from the city.

Dobong-gu residents, workers and community activity members of businesses located in Dobong-gu, and Dobong-gu employees can use the site year-round at a 70% discounted rate.

For example, the cabin house (Unit 1, duplex) costs 300,000 KRW on weekends and holidays, but Dobong-gu residents can enjoy it for 90,000 KRW. Detailed information about usage fees and more will be available on the Dobong-gu website in April.

Operations will begin in May, and applications can be made from April 10 on the Dobong-gu Office website.

Oh Eon-seok, the mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “We are making great efforts to create ‘Dobong, a leisure city with rest.’ The operation of this camping site is part of that effort.” He added, “We will continue to expand various programs and facilities for the rest and leisure of our residents.”
