‘GY (Goyang) STUDIO X,’ created as part of the pilot project for the Goyang City Education Development Special Zone, is planned to be operated by Joongbu University, which has shown outstanding performance in the field of media and broadcasting video content.
The establishment project of ‘GY (Goyang) STUDIO X’ was promoted through city budget support to nurture industry-based talent, one of the core goals of the Goyang City Education Development Special Zone project. It is expected to serve as a stepping stone for cultivating talent necessary for key self-sufficient facilities promoted by the city, such as the Goyang Free Economic Zone and Goyang Broadcasting Video Valley.
The newly established ‘GY (Goyang) STUDIO X’ is equipped with a state-of-the-art broadcasting system capable of producing various content such as live commerce and podcasts, and also provides a professional media production environment including a video editing room.
Through this, it is expected that students in Goyang City will be able to create creative content in an environment close to actual work and develop the capabilities required in the media industry field.
Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang City stated, “The opening of ‘GY (Goyang) STUDIO X’ will serve as a hub connecting the region, education, and industry beyond just a simple educational space,” and added, “We will continue to spare no support so that excellent talents can learn, find employment, and settle in the region, and we will do our best to help Goyang City grow into a sustainable future-oriented educational city.”
