Remodeled as a Hub for Environmental Education
Gumi Carbon Zero Education Center Reopens
The Carbon Zero Education Center in Gumi, operated by Gumi Urban Corporation in North Gyeongsang Province, has reopened after completing its remodeling.
The center, which held its reopening ceremony on the 7th, has upgraded its facilities to better serve as a hub for carbon neutrality practices and environmental education, providing visitors with more effective environmental learning opportunities.
Through this remodeling, a new indoor play experience facility called 'Eco Jungle Land' and a carbon neutrality practice exhibition hall have been newly established.
With these additions, citizens are expected to enjoy a wider variety of experiences and learn practical ways to reduce carbon emissions in their daily lives.
Lee Jaewoong, President of Gumi Urban Corporation, said, "We hope the Carbon Zero Education Center will serve as a hub for carbon neutrality practices in the local community, and we will strive to raise public awareness through efficient operation and a variety of environmental education programs."
Meanwhile, the Eco Jungle Land and exhibition hall at the Carbon Zero Education Center operate on a reservation basis, and environmental education programs tailored to different age groups will be held from March to November.
