According to Gwangsan Police Station on the 10th, the apartment management office recently filed a complaint against the accountant, identified as B, on charges of embezzling maintenance fees. B is suspected of siphoning off approximately 700 million won over the past decade while handling maintenance fees through internet banking.

The embezzlement was uncovered on the 5th when B suddenly failed to show up for work. Another staff member, who was handling banking duties in B's absence, discovered that the maintenance fee account was empty. The management office then reviewed the account records, identified signs of B's embezzlement, and reported the matter to the police.

B is currently out of contact. The police are tracking B's whereabouts and investigating how the maintenance fees were diverted.
