Gwangmyeong City Recruiting Saebit Garden Management Team and Citizen Garden Team Until the 21st

Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting participants for the 'Saebit Garden Management Team' and the 'Citizen Garden Team' to create a garden city until the 21st of this month.

Both projects aim to activate the community and create a sustainable city by encouraging citizen participation based on gardens. The number of recruits is 60 for the Saebit Garden Management Team and 104 teams for the Citizen Garden Team.


The Saebit Garden Management Team is recruiting 30 professionals who have completed the Gwangmyeong City Citizen Gardener Training Professional Course or the Gyeonggi-do Citizen Gardener Advanced Course, or who hold related certifications, and 30 general members who are highly interested in garden activities, proactive, and can participate continuously.


The Citizen Garden Team is open to any Gwangmyeong citizens who want to cultivate gardens together and enjoy the experience. Up to 4 people per team, with a total of 104 teams being recruited.


Participants in both projects will be active for nine months from next month until December. The Saebit Garden Management Team will engage in activities such as pruning shrubs, supplementing herbaceous plants, weeding, and picking up trash around 32 garden worksites in Saebit Park and 2 herbaceous gardens in Anyangcheon. The Citizen Garden Team will receive garden literacy education and participate in public garden cultivation, garden culture events, and community network activities. All volunteer hours will be officially recognized.


Gwangmyeong citizens who wish to apply can do so by accessing the civil participation menu on the Gwangmyeong City Hall website and applying through the service application board. Selection will be by random draw. For more details, contact the Garden City Division of Gwangmyeong City Hall.
