Busan Port Authority Appoints Jeong Wondong as Head of Management Division and Gan Jutae as Head of Operations Division

Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Song Sangkeun) announced on the 10th the appointment of Jeong Wondong, former Head of Management Planning at the Korea Smart Healthcare Association, as the new Head of the Management Division, and Gan Jutae, former Director of Planning and Coordination at BPA, as the new Head of the Operations Division.

The newly appointed Head of the Management Division, Jeong Wondong, was born in 1967. He graduated from Changwon High School in Gyeongnam and majored in Political Science and Diplomacy at Dongguk University. He also obtained his master's and doctoral degrees in Public Administration from the University of Seoul. He previously served as Policy Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance and as Executive Director of Management Support at the Korea Exchange.

The new Head of the Operations Division, Gan Jutae, was born in 1969. He graduated from Dongin High School in Busan and majored in Philosophy at Kyungsung University. He earned a master's degree in Port Management from Korea Maritime and Ocean University and completed a doctoral program in Maritime Law at the same university. He began his career at the Busan Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries and has held positions such as Head of Port Operations, Head of Management Support, and Director of Planning and Coordination at Busan Port Authority.

The term of office is two years, from March 10, 2024, to March 9, 2027.
