Cheonan City to Reconstruct Buldang 3 Bridge by Year-End

Resolving Flood Damage and Flood Risks

Cheonan City to Reconstruct Buldang 3 Bridge by Year-End

Cheonan City, Chungnam Province, announced on the 10th that the reconstruction work of Jangjaecheon Buldang 3-gyo Bridge will proceed until the end of the year.

The reconstruction is being carried out by the Chungnam Provincial Construction Headquarters to resolve flood damage and flood risks caused by urbanization.

The city plans to allow temporary passage in certain sections until the upper part of the bridge is demolished, and once the demolition work begins in earnest, the area will be completely closed off.

During the full closure, vehicles and pedestrians must detour via Buldang 2-gyo Bridge or towards Buldang Elementary School.

The city will continue to cooperate with Chungnam Province to ensure early completion.

Mayor Park Sangdon stated, "This reconstruction work is essential for preventing flood damage in the Jangjaecheon area and ensuring the safety of our citizens," adding, "We will implement measures such as phased traffic control to minimize inconvenience to the public."

Meanwhile, Buldang 5-gyo Bridge, located near the main gate of City Hall, is also undergoing reconstruction until September 29. When entering City Hall from Byeonyeong-ro, drivers should detour via Citizen Sports Park or use the temporary two-lane bridge located 50 meters downstream from the main bridge (in front of the hydrogen vehicle charging station).
