13,356㎡ in Size: Candidates to Be Selected and Recommended to LH
Facilities for Venture Clusters, Urban Factories, and Research Centers Possible
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi-do announced on the 10th that it will hold a public contest to recommend candidates for the supply of Block 1 of urban support facilities in Dongtan 1 District, Seokwoo-dong 36-6 area.
This contest aims to attract excellent companies to Hwaseong City to create an innovation ecosystem centered on venture companies.
The site subject to the contest is 13,356㎡ in size. The site can accommodate ▲venture companies and venture company cluster facilities ▲urban-type factories and auxiliary facilities ▲research facilities, among others.
Applications for the contest will be accepted from the 7th to the 11th of next month. Applications can be submitted by domestic corporations or consortia composed of domestic corporations. The city plans to select supply candidates based on high scores through company status evaluation and business plan evaluation and recommend them to the Korea Land and Housing Corporation.
Based on this contest, the city plans to realize ▲creation of quality jobs ▲revitalization of the local economy ▲establishment of a high-tech industry hub, while expanding the foundation for fostering high-tech industries in connection with the designation of 'Hwaseong City Technopol' and 'Venture Business Promotion District.'
Jung Myung-geun, mayor of Hwaseong City, said, "This contest will be an important opportunity to develop Dongtan 1 District as a center of high-tech industries," adding, "We hope that excellent companies actively participate and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy and sustainable growth."
