To enhance the health and welfare of female farmers, the county will provide additional support from its own budget for ultrasound and CT scans, in addition to the basic examination items designated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
The total number of participants is 300, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the quota is filled. The entire examination fee of 360,000 KRW will be fully covered by national and county funds, with no out-of-pocket expenses for female farmers.
Eligible applicants are female farmers aged 51 to 70 who reside in the county, were born in odd-numbered years, and are registered as farm managers, co-managers, or agricultural workers other than managers in the agricultural management system.
Female farmers wishing to apply can visit their local town or township administrative welfare center with a certificate of agricultural management registration, or make a direct reservation and visit the designated medical institution, 'Jinan Medical Center,' for the examination.
A county official stated, "We hope this examination will help improve the health and welfare of female farmers by preventing occupational diseases, and we will continue to listen to the voices of our residents to build a healthier rural community."
