The campaign was organized jointly with related local agencies to raise awareness about the necessity of wildfire prevention, to prevent wildfires caused by carelessness such as accidental fires by visitors, and to instill a sense of caution among citizens.

Over 100 people participated in the campaign, including the Yangsan City Forestry Division, Habuk-myeon Administrative Welfare Center, Yangsan Fire Station, Yangsan Forest Aviation Office, Yangsan City Forestry Cooperative, Volunteer Fire Brigade, Autonomous Disaster Prevention Corps, and Wildfire Suppression Team. All participants wore wildfire prevention sashes and acted as promotional ambassadors, distributing informational materials and conducting environmental clean-up activities simultaneously.

The city plans to strictly punish any burning activities that lead to wildfires in accordance with relevant laws, focusing on promotional activities and intensive crackdowns on burning practices until the end of the wildfire prevention period on May 15.

Additionally, the city will strengthen promotional activities to ban the burning of rice paddies, field ridges, and household waste through meetings of local leaders, village broadcasts, and vehicle amplifier broadcasts.

Kim Cheolhwan, head of the Forestry Division, said, "A fire that starts from a small act of carelessness can turn forests and property that have been protected for hundreds of years into ashes in an instant. I urge all citizens to pay special attention so that we can protect the forests of Yangsan City from wildfires."
