Yuhan-Kimberly Wins '2025 iF Design Award' for Side-to-Side Opening Wet Wipes

Reviewing Application of Sliding Cap to Wet Tissues such as Kleenex and Huggies

Yuhan-Kimberly announced on the 10th that it won the ‘2025 iF Design Award’ for its new concept wet tissue design. The award category was ‘Professional Concept’ under ‘Packaging Concept’.

The winning design features a wet tissue cap that opens and closes horizontally. Typically, to use wet tissues, one has to hold the cap with both hands to open and close it, which can be inconvenient for busy modern people. Noting this, Yuhan-Kimberly’s Brand Design & Innovation Division devised a way to improve convenience, and after about eight months of research, developed a sliding wet tissue cap that opens and closes from side to side.

With this design, it is easy to open and close the wet tissue with one hand even while holding a child or a mobile phone. Yuhan-Kimberly is considering applying the sliding cap to various wet tissue product lines such as Kleenex and Huggies, and if applied to actual products, it is expected to be recognized as an innovative product that can be conveniently used by people of all ages in various situations.

A Yuhan-Kimberly design representative said, “Since Yuhan-Kimberly’s product lines, including wet tissues, are widely used in daily life, we have always been researching ways to improve the usage environment,” adding, “We will continue to devote ourselves to research to present products that advance both convenience and environmental friendliness.”
