The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 10th that they participated in the ITB Berlin 2025, held in Berlin, Germany from the 4th to the 6th (local time), to promote tourism to Korea.
ITB is one of the world's largest tourism fairs. This year, more than 5,800 organizations from 170 countries participated.

The Korea Tourism Organization operated a 241㎡ Korean tourism promotion booth together with the Seoul Tourism Foundation, Busan Tourism Organization, Gangwon Tourism Foundation, Buddhist Cultural Business Group, as well as travel agencies, tourism ventures, and airlines, totaling 24 organizations. At the booth, tourism experiences and Buddhist cultural tourism content from various regions in Korea were introduced along with games and quizzes. Especially on the first day of the fair, 50 local partners including German media and travel agencies were invited to hold a Korean tourism promotion event with various travel themes.
The Korea Tourism Organization stated that, noting the average length of stay for European visitors to Korea is long, ranging from 11.1 to 13.4 days, they focused on promoting long-term stay regional tour packages. They also added that a total of 736 business consultations were concluded, and the expected sales revenue from Korean travel products reached 33 billion KRW.
Eun Yuri, head of the Korea Tourism Organization Frankfurt office, said, "Traditionally, inquiries at ITB have centered on major European inbound markets such as the UK and Germany, but this year, inquiries from emerging market countries such as the Netherlands, Poland, and Denmark increased," adding, "This is analyzed to be mainly driven not only by the continued spread of K-culture popularity in Europe but also by the promotional efforts to develop emerging market offices in the Americas and Oceania regions since last year."
