Each course will accept 20 trainees. Participants will receive 30 hours of training from this month until May, and after completing the course, they will also participate in on-site volunteer practice to apply the skills acquired through the specialized education.
Any Jeonju citizen can apply. Applicants should download and fill out the application form from the Jeonju Volunteer Center website for more details and to apply.
Graduates of the program will become professional volunteers, working at registered volunteer sites and in areas of the community where help is needed.
Lee Kyungjin, Director of the Jeonju Volunteer Center, said, "This specialized training is a twofold program where you can experience both the joy of learning and the joy of sharing. It is an ideal program for citizens who want to start volunteering, as it also includes on-site practice. We ask for your interest and participation."
Meanwhile, since 2003, the Jeonju Volunteer Center has been offering free training in specialized volunteer fields twice a year, in the first and second half, and has been nurturing around 200 talent-sharing volunteers annually through these programs.
