DeepX Appoints Jeon Jae-du, Former NXP Executive, as Head of U.S. Corporation

AI semiconductor company DeepX is set to actively target the global on-device artificial intelligence (AI) market.

DeepX announced on the 10th that it recently appointed Jeon Jae-du, former marketing director at global semiconductor company NXP, as the head of its U.S. branch. NXP is the world’s number one company in the automotive semiconductor market, headquartered in the Netherlands.

Jeon Jae-du, the newly appointed head of the U.S. branch, is a veteran with over 20 years of diverse experience at major global semiconductor and IT companies such as ST-Ericsson, Texas Instruments (TI), and NXP.

In particular, he is recognized for successfully leading stable sales and strategic customer management targeting global companies like Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics while serving as product marketing director for the Security & Connectivity division at NXP in the North American and Korean markets.

Based on Director Jeon’s extensive experience and expertise, DeepX plans to achieve technological differentiation in the U.S. market and provide customized solutions to secure a global competitive edge. To this end, the company intends to recruit additional personnel in business and technology fields centered on its U.S. branch within the first half of this year and accelerate its local market penetration strategy.

Additionally, DeepX plans to establish a Taiwan branch within the first half of this year alongside the expansion of its U.S. branch. Through this, the company expects to maximize sales and expand market share in the global AI semiconductor market. It also aims to build a global distribution network early by signing cooperation agreements with global semiconductor distributors.

Kim Nok-won, CEO of DeepX, stated, "To secure a competitive advantage in the global AI semiconductor market, we will implement an aggressive business strategy centered on our U.S. branch and actively pursue the Asian markets such as Taiwan based on local expertise."
