Expanding Market Opportunities for Domestic ICT SMEs
Laying the Foundation for Entry into Emerging Markets such as Europe and Latin America
KOTRA announced on the 10th that it achieved consecutive on-site successes at the 'Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025' held in Barcelona, Spain, from the 3rd to the 6th.
At the Korea Pavilion, which hosted 32 domestic companies, 4,121 companies visited, resulting in a total of 680 consultations. The consultation amount reached $103.68 million, and the contract promotion amount totaled $54.37 million. Additionally, five Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) were signed with overseas buyers from countries including the UK and Spain.
Petnow, which provides AI-based biometric services for pets, signed an MOU with Z, a cat population management platform company in Spain, and agreed to jointly participate in a project promoted by the Barcelona city government.
Batteryfly, a vehicle battery solution company, signed an MOU on-site with M, a UK mobility solution company, and agreed to strengthen technological cooperation.

In addition, CIT, a semiconductor solution specialist company, achieved success in discovering new buyers with major US companies, and Roboplay, an educational robot manufacturer, made remarkable achievements such as signing an initial contract with a local university in Spain.
KOTRA expanded the scale of Korea Pavilion participants by 25% compared to last year to 32 companies (including visits from 50 European buyers from 14 countries) to support the achievements of participating companies. It is significant that more than 50% of the visiting buyers were senior executives.
Kang Kyung-sung, President of KOTRA, said, "MWC has established itself as a venue where our ICT companies can showcase their advanced technologies worldwide, following the US CES in January," and added, "We plan to expand support for ICT industry exhibitions such as the Singapore Information and Communications Exhibition in May and the Dubai Information and Communications Exhibition in October so that companies with innovative technologies can seize more opportunities."
